Hello there!
The camera I'm introducing today is the RICOH GR DIGITAL III!
Now that I've written quite a few blog posts about compact digital cameras, the time has finally come to introduce RICOH's GR series. The commemorative first GR model is the GR DIGITAL III. The reason is that the person writing this article recently acquired this camera. Yes, that's right (lol). So, let's get started!

The first photo. Although the subject has a very high contrast difference, it was captured perfectly, which is truly impressive. The sky is a bit blown out, but not completely. As expected from a high-end compact camera, it shows its true power.
Second photo. This was taken when I went for a BBQ a little early. The weather was great, and the transparency of the river water really stood out in this shot. As you can see in the photo, a very clear blue spreads across the water surface, along with vibrant new greenery. While reproducing colors faithfully, the slightly contrasty depiction seems to be a perfect match for the casual everyday snapshots that the GR series excels at.
While the GR series currently mostly features APS-C models, I think it's quite a charming option to deliberately buy a GR from the CCD era now!
