Process for Trade-In by Mail

This is our recommended buying method, allowing you to sell items from the comfort of your home without having to visit a store or wait for an appraiser to arrive.

Shipping for the delivery kit and purchased items is free.

STEP01 Preliminary Estimate

 

Please contact us by phone or through our inquiry form regarding the items you wish to sell.

Once we identify the items, we will provide you with a purchase estimate.

To provide an estimate, we will need information such as the item's model name.

Please have this information ready when you contact us.

STEP02 Shipping your item

 

■ Preparing for Shipping

Once you approve the estimate, we will send you a宅配キット (delivery kit). Please enclose your items and required documents and return them. A copy of a public identification document is required for identity verification.

Required Documents

  • Identification document (copy of health insurance card, driver's license, passport, etc.)
  • Bank transfer account information (can be written in an empty space on the copy of your ID)

■ Identification Documents

Please copy one of the following identification documents:

  • Driver's License
  • Japanese Passport
    *If only the page with the photo is provided, it will be invalid as it does not contain an address.
  • Basic Resident Registration Card (both Type A and Type B)
  • Foreign Resident Registration Certificate
  • Various Health Insurance Cards (Health Insurance, National Health Insurance, Mutual Aid Insurance, Seamen's Insurance)
  • Various Welfare Handbooks (Physical Disability Handbook)
  • Various Pension Handbooks (orange)
  • Other official photo ID documents issued by government agencies
    *Limited to those with name, address, and date of birth.
    *Limited to those within the validity period and not invalid.
    *A copy of the page(s) containing your name, address, and date of birth is required, so please make multiple copies depending on the identification document.

■ Shipping

The delivery kit includes a return shipping label. Please send it via Yu-Pack. You can send it from your nearest post office or Yu-Pack handling store, or you can use the collection service.

※Caution

  • We are not responsible for any damage or defects to items that occur during transit. Please pack your items securely before shipping.
  • If shipping costs become abnormally high due to the shipping method, such as the packaging size being too large for the item, we may charge you for the shipping costs.

STEP03 Appraisal Results Notification

 

Once your item arrives, we will conduct a final appraisal and inform you of the purchase price. While we strive to avoid price reductions during appraisal, there may be unavoidable reductions depending on the item's condition.

■Appraisal Checkpoints

  • New Items: Checking for signs of opening, package condition, warranty, etc.
  • Used Items: Checking operation, exterior condition, accessories, etc.

■Cancellation/Return

  • If you are not satisfied with the appraisal amount, we will return the item to you via delivery.

*While return shipping costs are normally borne by us, in some situations, they may be borne by the customer.

STEP04 Purchase & Payment

 

Once you are satisfied with the estimated amount, payment will be made to your designated account. Payment can be made as early as the day the item arrives.

*Please note that it may take some time for the payment to be processed. Please refer to the examples below:

  • If we cannot confirm or contact you regarding the purchase price
  • If there are deficiencies in the required documents or if the required documents are not included
  • If we are unable to process due to bank or our business days/hours (weekends or before/after holidays)
